About 6.2 billion tenge paid to businesses affected by the riots in Almaty

At a meeting of the Regional Commission for the determination of property damage to SMEs dated March 18, 2022, 31 applications from entrepreneurs were approved for a total of 152 million tenge. Of these, 19 applications for the amount of 124.5 million tenge were financed from the budget, 12 applications for 27.5 million tenge from the Zhana Alatau Charitable Foundation.

In total, 17 meetings of the commission were held in Almaty, at which 1,236 applications of businesses affected by the riots in the amount of 6.2 billion tenge were approved, including 663 applications in the amount of 5,033.3 million tenge from the budget and 573 applications in the amount of 1,158 3 million tenge from the Zhana Alatau fund.

All applications received and registered on the InfoKazakhstan.kz website earlier have been processed. As new applications are received, the Regional Commission considers and makes an appropriate decision on them. Work to compensate the victims continues and is under special control.
