Almaty allocated 3.2 billion tenge to finance sections and circles in 2022
The local executive bodies of Almaty were tasked with actively involving children in mass sports, as well as opening free sports sections and circles. Rustem Baiseitov, head of the Sports Department of Almaty city, spoke about how the order of the Head of State is being implemented during a briefing of the Regional Communications Service.

He recalled that from May 1, 2021, the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev introduced a mechanism for per capita normative financing of sports sections and creative circles as part of the state order.
The program allows children and adolescents aged 4 to 17, including children with special needs, to attend free sports clubs in 71 sports.
According to Rustem Baiseitov, last year 1.2 billion tenge was allocated from the budget for the implementation of this project, 44,000 children and teenagers were able to attend sections and circles for free. The most popular were football, chess, taekwondo, judo, swimming.
“This year, 3.2 billion tenge has already been allocated for these purposes. Now even more children will be able to go in for sports and creativity. This is a great opportunity for parents who do not have to spend money on paying for the section. According to our data, the average cost of attending a sports section for one child is 20,500 tenge per month,” said the head of the city Sports Department.
In order to automate the process of launching per capita funding for children's circles and sports sections, the Artsport.edu.kz information system has been developed. To date, according to the department, 594 applications from suppliers have been approved. 44,000 children in 37 sports have started training under the per capita normative financing of the state sports order.
Rustem Baiseitov called on Almaty residents to use this opportunity and send their children to sections.
