More than 16 billion tenge issued to entrepreneurs under the city program "Almaty Business-2025"
228 projects for 16.7 billion tenge have been financed since the creation of the regional program "Almaty Business-2025". Of these, 56 projects worth 13.6 billion tenge were financed by LLP Almaty Finance and 172 projects worth 3.1 billion tenge by LLP MFO Almaty. Thanks to concessional business lending, 1,074 new jobs have been created in Almaty. More than 80% of loans issued are in priority areas - the social sphere, industry and the creative economy.
In 2022, as part of the Almaty Business-2025 program, it is planned to approve and issue more than 160 new projects, with the creation of more than 1,300 new ones and the preservation of 330 existing jobs. The taxable base will also be increased by at least 1.5 billion tenge per year of additional budget revenues.
In addition, as part of the Almaty Business-2025 program, 8 industrial parks were launched for a total investment of 1.5 billion tenge with the creation of 669 new jobs. In 2022, it is planned to launch 5 industrial parks in the Industrial Zone for a total investment of 2.1 billion tenge with the creation of 380 jobs; in subsequent years, it is planned to launch 4 more projects totaling 2.7 billion tenge with the creation of 710 jobs.
About 70% of the allocated funding was directed to support businesses in areas with low and medium business activity (Alatau, Auezov, Zhetysu, Nauryzbay, Turksib districts). In addition, 18 major projects (8 social and 10 commercial) were implemented through the tools of SEC Almaty JSC, with the creation of more than 1 thousand jobs, 95.8 billion tenge of investments were attracted.
In terms of providing non-financial support to businesses in 2021, the Qoldaý Center for Entrepreneurship provided more than 44.5 thousand consulting services, supported 225 projects for a total of 7.9 billion tenge before financing under state and regional programs, accompanied in obtaining 370 permits, 941 business plans were developed, more than 10 thousand students were trained in the basics of entrepreneurship.
