Deputies of the Maslikhat of Almaty supported the project to clarify the local budget for 2022
The XVI session of the Maslikhat of the city was held to clarify the local budget for the current year in order to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State on the restoration and further development of Almaty. The refinement is carried out at the expense of available free balances of funds from the previous year in the amount of 48.9 billion tenge.
During the meeting, Mayor of the city Erbolat Dosaev noted that these funds will be redirected to finance socially significant events and projects.
As part of the Year of Children, declared by President K.K. Tokayev, from September 1 of this year, students in grades 1-4 will be provided with free meals in public schools.
The per capita financing of sports clubs for children will be significantly expanded from 1.7 billion to 3.2 billion tenge.
This year it is planned to complete the construction of 5 additional school buildings.
In order to support socially vulnerable segments of the population, the amount of housing certificates will increase from 1 million to 1.5 million tenge. As part of the Employment Program, it is planned to increase wages for people with disabilities working in social jobs.
For the development of children's and youth sports, it is planned to design a new sports and recreation complex (FC) and reconstruct the Aviator stadium in the Turksib district. This year, the construction of 3 sports and recreation centers in the Zhas Kanat, Alatau and Ainabulak-2 microdistricts will be completed.
This year, measures to support entrepreneurs will be expanded. Additional funding is provided under the Almaty Business program. Akimat of Almaty and the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund will allocate 1.5 billion tenge on a parity basis to provide preferential loans to entrepreneurs at 5% and 7% per annum.
In order to provide water supply to 24 thousand residents, it is planned to build water supply networks in the microdistrict. Kensai, as well as the reconstruction of water tanks, water supply networks and a pumping station in the Duman microdistrict.
The funds previously planned for the average repair of Al-Farabi Avenue (from VOAD to Sain St.) will be used to repair roads in the microdistrict. Tastybulak, md. 14-territory, st. Otemisuls in md. Shanyrak-1.
On behalf of the Head of State, in order to ensure security, the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies and the Civil Defense of the city has been strengthened. Additional connection is planned

During the meeting, in order to improve the efficiency of the work of local executive bodies, the maslikhat also approved a draft management structure for the city of Almaty.
In order to ensure state control over compliance with labor legislation in organizations, protect the rights and freedoms of employees, including the right to safe working conditions, the Social Welfare Department will be reorganized by separating the Labor Inspection Department from it.
In order to improve the efficiency of budget planning and economic development, the Strategy and Budget Department was reorganized by dividing into the Finance Department and the Economics Department.
Given that Almaty is a city of youth and that a large number of higher educational institutions, secondary specialized educational institutions and colleges are concentrated in the metropolis, the Creative Industries Department was reorganized into the Youth Policy Department.
