Akim of Almaty Y. Dossayev got acquainted with the problematic issues and prospects for the development of the Almaly district
The Head of the city began a working detour with an inspection of the City Rheumatological Center. This is the only specialized medical institution in the country for patients with rheumatological diseases. There are 532 people from all over the country on the waiting list for admission to the hospital. The center building itself needs to be expanded and renovated; it was built back in the 40s. Y. Dossayev instructed the Departments of Comfortable Urban Environment and Land Relations to study the need for a major overhaul of the building, as well as make proposals for the construction of a new building in place of the former one.
To eliminate the shortage of student places at school No. 144 on Turkebayeva 93 street, the construction of a building for 300 children has been completed. In March, of this year, in gymnasium No. 34, on Brusilovsky 15 street, it is planned to put into operation a new building for 550 student seats. The departments of a Comfortable Urban Environment and Education were instructed to study the issue of the need to adopt the program "Renovation of objects of secondary and preschool education."
During the detour, the Head of the city visited the House of Schoolchildren No. 2. The frame-reed building was erected in 1936 and is in disrepair. Today, more than 800 children attend the clubs daily. The Akim of Almaty instructed the Departments of a Comfortable Urban Environment, Urban Planning and Urbanism, Education to consider the issue of building a new building on the site of the existing building.
During the detour of the district, the Akim of Almaty met with residents of dilapidated houses in the square of Shevchenko - Manas - Zhambyl - Baizakov streets. Y. Dossayev instructed to conduct a technical audit of the condition of houses and engineering networks.
The final location during the working trip was the acquaintance with the authors and volunteers of the NarkoStop social project, aimed at preventing drug crimes and teenage drug addiction. The pilot project was launched in October 2021 with the support of the akim of the Almalinsky district and the assistance of the Police Department of Almaty and community members. The Akim of the city instructed the Department of Public Development to support the social initiative and consider the possibility of "replicating" the project in other areas of the metropolis.
Based on the results of the detour, the head of the city Y. Dossayev approved the work of the akim of the Almalinsky district Y. Seitenov and instructed to continue work on the further development of social infrastructure and the solution of pressing issues.
