Mass cleaning of yards, streets and roads have been organized in Almaty
The Head of the Housing Policy Department of the city, Daniyar Kirikbayev, during a meeting of the City Headquarters for the restoration of life support of Almaty, said that public utilities for sanitary cleaning are working on schedule with the exception of the curfew.
Daniyar Kirikbayev noted that, now, the municipal services for sanitary cleaning are working on their usual schedule, with the exception of the curfew.
According to Daniyar Kirikbayev, since January 8, garbage collection organizations have begun work on the removal of solid household waste from courtyards and private residential buildings. More than 200 pieces of equipment and 700 workers are involved. During the current period, 10.5 thousand tons of municipal solid waste were removed.
“Since January 9, the Almaty Tazalyk State Enterprise and contractors have organized mass work to clean the metropolitan street and road network, which involves about 500 units of special equipment and 1,600 road workers. To date, 667 tons of garbage have been removed,” the speaker said.
Also, since January 9, 93 workers of the Rescue Service, using 45 units of special equipment, removed 100 units of cars damaged during the riots, as well as bulky garbage and destroyed eco-posts.
