Historical Kazakh TV series presented in Almaty

The Ministry of Information and Public Development in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented historical television series in Almaty, the correspondent of MIA "Kazinform" reports.

The event was attended by Secretary of State Krymbek Kusherbayev, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov, Minister of Information and Public Development Aida Balayeva, Deputy Mayor of the city Yerzhan Babakumarov, directors, actors, intellectuals and others.

The guests were presented historical paintings dedicated to the life of people's figures Akhmet Baitursynov, Zhumabek Tashenev, Kanysh Satpayev, Mukagali Makatayev, Zhangir Khan, Domalak Ana, Rosa Baglanova, Turar Ryskulov and Zhambyl Zhabayev. There are nine TV series in total. Viewers can see them on the TV channels "Kazakhstan", "Khabar", "Channel 31", "Almaty".

At the opening of the event, Secretary of State Krymbek Kusherbayev spoke about the importance of cinema.

"Cinema is an ideological tool that forms the consciousness of generations. In the era of globalization, when thousands of colors of world culture are intertwined, we cannot live in isolation from civilization. In this regard, cinematography occupies a special place in the promotion of national ideology, in the education of the younger generation, in the manifestation of national character. Therefore, the head of state Tokayev Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich in his article "Independence above all" noted the special priority of this industry. The President's article emphasized "I instruct responsible state agencies and domestic TV channels to send a certain part of the state order to create works on historical topics," Krymbek Kusherbayev said.

Within the framework of the event, a round table was organized, the participants of which discussed the present and future of domestic TV series. The Minister of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, drew the attention of the participants to topical issues and suggested ways to solve them.

"Using the potential of the state Center for the Support of National Cinema, established under the Ministry of Culture and Sports, for a project to shoot domestic television series would help solve issues related to the lack of finances. Further, the funds allocated within the framework of the state information order must be transferred to the format of a three-year budget. This would make it possible to produce better television series and would contribute to a positive solution of work issues during the filming process. Another topical issue is the lack of props for creating historical television series. We propose to provide for the possibility of preferential or free use of costumes and decorations on the balance sheet of Kazakhfilm, since a considerable part of the budget of the series is spent on props," the minister said.

After the round table, the participants had the opportunity to watch the first episode of the TV series "Kanysh. Kazyna", the storyline of which is based on a story about the life and career of a geologist, engineer, professor, academician Kanysh Satpayev.

The television premiere of the film "Kanysh. Kazyna" will be held today at 20:35 on the air of the national TV channel "Qazaqstan".
