Yerzhan Babakumarov congratulated the pupils of Almaty children's institutions with the upcoming New Year on behalf of the Head of State 
Deputy akim of the megapolis Y. Babakumarov visited a special complex "Zhanuya", as well as "SOS Children's Village Almaty", where the Presidential New Years took place.
 
E. Babakumarov on behalf of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the children health, success, good friends and the fulfillment of their cherished desires. According to the established good tradition, the participants, in the performance, lit a New Year tree and made their wishes to Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden.
The Zhanuya complex was founded in 1999 and is designed for 350 pupils. This is a special children's home, which includes a kindergarten and a correctional school for orphans and children with disabilities. Education and upbringing are carried out here according to special correctional programs. Experienced teachers and psychologists help children in their upbringing.
SOS Children's Village Almaty was opened in 1997. Now 65 children live in 10 family houses. Five more families live separately in the city, the so-called “integrated families”. Children in these families receive the same care and support as children living in the children's village.
