Construction of a new park began in Almaty on the eve of Independence Day
Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev took part in the laying of a new linear park. The event is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan.
Bakhytzhan Sagintayev congratulated the participants of the event, patrons of art who supported the project, as well as all concerned citizens on the upcoming main holiday of the country.
“Creation of comfortable conditions, comprehensive measures to improve the ecology of Almaty are our priority tasks. The new park will become an important part of the green belt of the city, which we are creating within the framework of the Jasyl Almaty project, ”B. Sagintayev said.
The creation of the new park was supported by large construction companies as part of the social responsibility of the business. The area of the linear park is 107.1 hectares. It is located in the Alatau district, west of B. Momyshuly street.
At the first stage, at least 600 seedlings of deciduous trees, including elm, ash and plum trees, will be planted on an area of 3.2 hectares as part of landscaping.
Recall, that the Jasyl Almaty program is being implemented in Almaty for the second year, within the framework of which it is planned to plant 1 million trees in three years. To date, more than 530 thousand trees have already been planted in all districts of the city.
The planting of 350 thousand trees has begun this year, at the moment about 115 thousand trees have been planted.
