A new fire station opened in Almaty for the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
In honor of the anniversary date, in the Alatau district, a grand opening of a modern fire station was held with the participation of Almaty Akim Bakhytzhan Sagintayev and First Vice Minister for Emergency Situations Ibragim Kulshimbaev.
The Akim of the megapolis B. Sagintayev congratulated the employees of the fire station, emergency department, veterans of the service on the most important holiday - Independence Day, the 30th anniversary of which is of particular importance.
“Thanks to Independence, our country and city are growing and developing. Today, we systematically provide comfortable living conditions in the annexed microdistricts of New Almaty. At the same time, public safety is increasing, police stations and the second fire station this year are opening, ”B. Sagintayev said, wishing good service for the benefit of the townspeople.
The new fire station is designed for 6 exits with a total area of 3524 sq. m, will reduce the travel time to the scene of the incident and increase the efficiency of work to ensure the fire safety of the Industrial zone of the Alatau district, including the Sayaly, Kok-Kainar, Tomiris, Madeniet and 71st patrol microdistricts.
Taking into account the active development of the region, along with equipment for extinguishing fires, the part is equipped with special vehicles, including those intended for high-rise buildings.
“131 employees will work here. The unit will house 10 modern main and special-purpose fire trucks. For the personnel, there are household premises, recreation rooms, a room for psychological relief, a gym, ”said Ruslan Kasybayev, Head of the Emergency Situations Department of the city of Almaty.
For professional training, there is a training tower, a 100-meter obstacle course. There is also a dormitory and apartments for the garrison staff. Today, there are 18 divisions of the fire service in the city.
As a reminder, in September of this year, a new fire station was commissioned in the Nauryzbay district. Now the construction of a fire station in the Nur Alatau microdistrict is underway, of the Bostandyk district.
In total, within the framework of the implementation of the comprehensive plan "New Almaty", 33 units of fire vehicles, a fire pumping station, two fire ladders, 14 fire tankers, 7 rapid response vehicles, a hose car, an emergency rescue vehicle, three UAZ vehicles, a minibus, dump truck, and two trucks were received from the Akimat of Almaty.
