Documentary film about Zheltoksanovites "Zheltoksan (December) - the beginning of the country's independence" was presented in Almaty
Within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence and the 35th anniversary of the December events, the premiere screening of the documentary film "Zheltoksan - El Tauelsizdiginin bastauy" took place in Almaty. Deputy Akim of Almaty Yerzhan Babakumarov attended the premier together with representatives of all Zheltoksan organizations.
The documentary film talks about the fate of the participants - activists of the December 1986 events and the key importance of Almaty. The viewer is presented with unique archival footage, exclusive interviews with interesting people, the process of political modernization of the country is described in a simple and understandable language.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his article “Independence First,” said that “in 1986, the sons and daughters of the Kazakh people, not afraid of the wrath of the Soviet regime, took to the streets to defend the honor of the nation. It is symbolic that exactly five 5 years later our Independence was proclaimed. We need to appreciate and popularize in every possible way the courage and feat of the heroes of Zheltoksan. "
The documentary film "Zheltoksan - El Tauelsizdiginin bastauy" provides an objective assessment of the difficult historical period, about the thorny path to the great goal of gaining independence. Young people who stood up for freedom of expression stumbled upon the wall of a totalitarian system that suppressed this uprising of the spirit.
The writer, deputy chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Mereke Kulkenov noted the importance of such work, objectively sharing the events of those years.
“The film turned out to be very good, truly documentary. Archival documents were used, a chronicle, the stories of eyewitnesses and participants in the December events are given. Thanks to the support of the Akimat of Almaty, another important step has been taken for an objective assessment of the history and role of Zheltoksanovites, ”M. Kulkenov said.
Representatives of all Zheltoksan organizations were invited to the premiere screening of the film. Among them are Nurlybek Kuanbaev, Gulbaram Zhanis, Myrzaul Tuzhiululy, Umit Bosmanova, Talgat Rysulbek, Gulmira Bayatkyzy.
The documentary was shot by the creative team of the "Almaty" TV channel, consisting of director Atlan Bulybaev, editor Aidana Shalkarova and producer Aigerim Askarbay. The filming process lasted about 5 months, as a result, the viewers were presented with a 60-minute documentary television project.
General Director of the Almaty TV channel Nurzhan Mukhamedzhanova noted that the December events occupy a special place in national history.
“A historically fair assessment can be considered the words of the First President - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, who called the participants of the December movement the first signs of freedom and independence. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also emphasized the historical significance of those events, noting the courage of their participants. This film is dedicated to the popularization of the courage and heroism of the participants in the December events, ”N. Mukhamedzhanova shared.
Recall, that within the framework of measures to preserve history, including the events of 1986, the street in Almaty is called “Zheltoksan”, at the intersection of which with Republic Square there is a monument “Tauelsizdik tauy”. It was created on the initiative of the First President - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev. The streets of Almaty were named after such heroes as Kairat Ryskulbekov, Lyazzat Asanova, Erbol Sypatayev.
