Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev took part in the award ceremony for the best teachers who took part in the first competition aimed at popularizing the digitalization of school education.
 
This year, a three-year program for the development of human resources for education workers "Almaty Schools" was launched in Almaty. The program is aimed at creating a qualitatively new educational environment in 150 schools in the city.
The program provides retraining of management teams of 50 schools, advanced training of more than 3,000 teachers. More than 1000 high school students are trained in IT and creative industry professions, schools in the city are provided with access to digital simulators and resources. “All this will improve the status of a teacher, make the teaching profession attractive for young people and reduce the staff deficit in our educational organizations. I believe that the issues of updating and developing the content of education are no less important issues of infrastructure and material and technical support. Therefore, we will continue to support progressive teachers who are open to new methods, ”Bakhytzhan Sagintayev emphasized.
 
Addressing the finalists of the competition, the akim of Almaty expressed confidence that the competition will become a platform for the best pedagogical methods for broadcasting experience, and will become an incentive for further professional growth.

The Akim of the city thanked the co-organizers of the competition - the Education Fund of Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Institute for the Development of Modern Education EdCrunch Academy, the general partner "Almaty Kitap Baspasy", as well as experts and specialists who took an active part in the teacher training stage, for their fruitful joint work.
As reported, the winner of the competition was the history teacher, Head of the Department of Humanities at Galaxy International School Sagingaliy Kaliyev. He will travel to London, where he will practice in one of the English educational organizations.
The second place was shared by Erlan Numan and Nurbek Serikuly from the "Bilim-Innovation" lyceum, and the third place was taken by Erlan Kerimbay from school # 31.
