Increasing the investment attractiveness of the city will be discussed in Almaty

On the eve of the next Almaty Investment Forum, the organizers of the event, at a briefing by the Regional Communications Service spoke about what issues will be discussed at the event and in what format it will take place this year.

The Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment of Almaty city, Yerkebulan Orazalin, noted the importance of this platform for discussing urgent problems of the city.

E. Orazalin recalled, that Almaty Investment is the main investment forum dedicated to discussing the development of entrepreneurship and increasing the investment attractiveness of the city. The Investment Forum has been held since 2013 and continues to be an exclusive meeting place for leaders of the public sector, business and global leaders in investment and innovation from around the world. This year, the Forum was organized for the second time, jointly with the Business Council.

“This year, at the investment forum, strategic issues for Almaty will be discussed - agglomeration, urbanization, digital transformation and integration of human capital,” the head of the department said.

Within the framework of the current Forum, a teleconference "Megacity of the New Silk Road" with mayors of cities, panel discussions with the participation of experts and major representatives of Kazakhstani and foreign companies, an exhibition "Projects of the Year" will be held, which will present advanced projects and initiatives of the city of Almaty.

In addition, this year, the Almaty Business Council, for the first time, initiated a competition of social projects, following which, the best ones will be financed by members of the Council itself and patrons of the city.
