B. Sagintayev announced the imminent opening of traffic on the interchange on the Kuldzhinsky tract
Answering the questions of the townspeople, during the live broadcast of the Akimat LIVE program on the Almaty TV Channel, the akim of the metropolis, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, spoke about the timing of the launch of the traffic at the junction under construction.
The opening of traffic in all directions is planned in the first half of 2022. A modern multi-level overpass with four- and six-lane traffic will unload the section of the highway connecting the VOAD with the road to the airport. The length of the flyover along the Kuldzhinsky tract will be 784 m, the tunnel along Bukhtarminskaya st. - 570 m. During the improvement of the adjacent territory, 750 trees will be planted.
Construction and installation works for the construction of a traffic intersection at the intersection of Bukhtarminskaya st. with the Kuldzhinsky tract are being carried out in accordance with the schedule. Currently, work has been completed on the arrangement of bypass roads and the construction of overpass No. 1.
By the end of this month, it is planned to open traffic on a temporary basis. The overpass will organize the movement of vehicles moving along the Kuldzhinsky tract in two directions.
In addition, it is planned to open traffic on exits from Bukhtarminskaya st. to the Kuldzhinsky tract when driving to the east, as well as when driving along the Kuldzhinsky tract, exit to Bukhtarminskaya st., without the need to travel to the turning area.
These measures will greatly improve the organization of traffic in the area of construction of a traffic intersection and reduce traffic congestion in this section.
