Almaty has moved into the "green" zone, but this does not exclude the risk of a new wave of growth in the incidence of the coronavirus infection. The Akim of the metropolis Bakhytzhan Sagintayev said during a live broadcast of Akimat LIVE, that this can happen if quarantine measures are not followed and vaccination is ignored.
To date, the epidemiological situation with COVID in Almaty continues to stabilize. Since the beginning of the year, 162,172 cases of COVID have been registered, over the last week 1073 cases, over the past day - 119.
In the matrix for assessing the epidemiological situation in the country in terms of the intensity of the epidemiological process for November 13, the city moved to the "green" from the "yellow" zone, in which it was from October 24 this year. This became possible thanks to the formed collective immunity, amounting to 56.2% (48% of those vaccinated + 8.2% of those who had been ill since the beginning of the year), as well as restrictive measures and compliance with quarantine rules.
To consolidate the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in terms of COVID, it is necessary to continue to comply with the requirements for the "yellow" zone for at least 7 days after the transition to the "green". Requirements of the "yellow" zone at facilities and in public places will remain until November 21.
In this regard, the akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev urged the townspeople not to forget about the viciousness of COVID-19. In European countries, as well as in Russia, new outbreaks of the disease are observed. If Almaty residents cease to comply with sanitary and epidemiological safety measures and do not continue to be vaccinated, there is a risk of repeating a new wave of growth in the incidence of COVID.
Today, there are 664 people in infectious diseases hospitals, including 16 children. Of the total number of patients, 27 are extremely severe, 307 are severe, 330 are of moderate severity. There are 1227 patients at home under the supervision of mobile teams of PHC and the Telemedicine Center.
As of November 17, 1,013,983 people received the vaccine against COVID. Since November 12, 3,240 people have been vaccinated with the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine, including 914 lactating women and 334 pregnant women, as well as 1,992 children under 18 years of age.
