B. Sagintayev spoke about the first rescued tourists in mountain huts

Answering the questions of the townspeople during the live broadcast of the Akimat LIVE program on the Almaty TV Channel, the akim of the city B. Sagintayev said that modular rescue huts are delivered to hard-to-reach places by helicopters.

“In fact, helicopters are transporting modular rescue huts to their installation sites. Helicopters are used because there is no way to get there by cars, the mountainous terrain is very difficult, ”B. Sagintayev answered the question of what is transported in the mountains.

The akim of Almaty recalled that the rescue modules are being installed as part of comprehensive measures to ensure safety in the mountains. For this purpose, mountain trails are being digitized and improved. In addition, the work of visit centers in Shymbulak and Medeu has been launched. Similar centers have opened in the Ayusai gorge and near the Gorelnik thermal spring. Here they give instructions on safe behavior in the mountains.

For the safety of tourists, cellular coverage areas are expanding, 2 control and rescue points are being built in the Small and Big Almaty gorges, a helipad in the Tuyuk-Su tract, 10 radio relay masts with alarm buttons for transmitting a signal to rescue teams are being installed.

Of the 15 rescue huts, 7 have already been installed at such points as the Upper Gorelnik, the terminal moraine of the Tuyuk-Su glacier, Lunnaya Polyana, Prokhodnoye gorge, Big Almaty gorge, Kyzylsay gorge and Left Talgar. By the end of November, it is planned to install 8 more.

Each hut is equipped with an SOS button for transmitting a signal to the rescue station. The hut is also heated, there is a first aid kit, a charger for a mobile phone, a warm blanket and a set of non-perishable food.

By the way, there are already cases when tourists used mountain huts. Someone, not calculating the time of the route or their own strength, spends the night there or remains during bad weather. For example, a townswoman named Saltanat reported on Instagram that she was able to rest in a mountain hut located in the Passage Gorge near the Pyla Peak transshipment camp.

It should be emphasized that rescue modules are installed in order to prevent accidents among tourists in a difficult situation, who find themselves in the mountains in bad weather conditions.
