B. Sagintayev instructed to accelerate the construction of large transport interchanges
Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, got acquainted with the pace of construction of road junctions and extension of main streets during a working detour.
A three-level overpass with four- and six-lane traffic is under construction on the “airport ring”. To date, the construction of one of the two overpasses along the Kuldzhinsky tract with a length of 784 m is nearing completion. In November, it is planned to open traffic on it.
A 570-meter tunnel driveway is under construction along Bukhtarminskaya street. At ground level, all right-hand exits are provided, as well as an exit to the road in the direction of microdistrict Alatau. The junction will eliminate the intersection of traffic flows.
The capacity of the transport interchange along the Kuldzhinsky tract will increase by 15%. On Bukhtarminskaya street- by 30%. The mobility of about 350 thousand residents of the Turksib district and suburban settlements of the Almaty region will increase.
B. Sagintayev also assessed the pace of work on the construction of an interchange on Ryskulov Avenue - Yemtsov st., consisting of a bridge across the avenue with ramps in all directions. The length of the overpass is 186 meters. Some side exits are open to traffic. The last two sections were withdrawn, which delayed the construction of the overpass. In this regard, the pace of construction has increased. Object readiness - 80%.
The traffic interchange will allow increasing the throughput on Ryskulov avenue up to 80 thousand vehicles per day, on Yemtsov street - up to 40 thousand. B. Sagintayev instructed to open traffic on the junction by the end of this year.
In addition, the akim of Almaty got acquainted with the progress of punching Abai Ave. Construction of a 3.5 km section from Momyshuly street to the administrative center of the Nauryzbay district. There are 3 lanes for traffic in each direction, a 400-meter overpass over Ashimova street, arrangement of sidewalks and bicycle paths.
The facility is about 85% ready. After the completion of the 600-meter section above the metro line, it is planned to open traffic on the updated avenue by the end of the year.
