The owner of the Grand Prix of the competition "Teacher of the Year of Almaty" was handed the keys to an apartment
Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, met with the winners of the competition among the teachers of the city and holders of special grants aimed at supporting the professional development of teachers.
At the end of the meeting, akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev wished all teachers and mentors success in their noble work.
Winner of the Grand Prix of the city competition "Teacher of the Year of Almaty", teacher of the Kazakh language and literature at specialized lyceum No. 39, Nurzhigit Amanov, received an apartment in the new residential complex Alma City as a gift. Primary school teacher of school №96, Raisa Tsoi, and chemistry teacher of specialized lyceum №92, Sunnatulla Kaumbaev, who took second and third places, respectively, were awarded cash prizes.
In addition, 10 best teachers, including kindergarten teachers, were awarded grants from the city akim. The winners of the city round of the republican competition "The Best Teacher" were awarded cash prizes.
“The identification of the best in their profession is carried out in order to support talented teachers, increase the prestige and disseminate advanced teaching experience,” B. Sagintayev emphasized.
For young teachers who have just come to school, one-time financial assistance has been provided for the third year already. This year, 566 young specialists will receive support, for a total amount of more than 33 million tenge.
Particular attention is paid to improving the living conditions of teachers. Under the city program "Almaty Zhastary 3.0" last year, apartments were purchased by 307 educators. This year, 245 teachers have already used preferential loans.
