16 thousand student places will be created in Almaty by the end of 2021

Speaking at the site of the Regional Communications Service, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the city, Kairat Zhumanov, shared how the issue of the shortage of educational institutions in the metropolis is being resolved.
The deputy head of the Department of Education said that this year, Almaty builders carried out restoration work and seismic reinforcement of buildings of schools No. 129,145,166.
By 2025, a thousand educational institutions should be built in the country. This task was outlined by the President, in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan.
“Within the framework of the implementation of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan:“ The unity of the people and systemic reforms are a solid foundation for the country's prosperity ”, the Almaty Department of Education is carrying out systematic work. Despite the quarantine restrictions, in order to reduce the shortage of student places and further expand the network of educational institutions, 8 public schools for 12,600 places are currently under construction, ”K. Zhumanov said.
Five new schools will appear in the Alatau district, two more in the Nauryzbay district, one in the Turksib disrict. Moreover, three of the schools under construction will be commissioned at the end of 2021 (in the Tomiris, Sayaly and Kalkaman-2 microdistricts).
In addition, this year, the construction of 17 new buildings for schools No. 38, 60, 166, 186, 6, 132, 117, 133, 144, 121, 199, 191, 57, 177, 102, 34, 170 for 8263 places has begun.
