By order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, wholesale distribution centers will be created in Almaty
This was announced during a briefing by the Regional Communications Service by the Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investments of the city of Almaty, Damir Tazabek. Recall, that in his last Address to the people of Kazakhstan, Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, instructed local executive bodies to ensure control over prices along the chain from the manufacturer.
To date, together with the general contractor, design estimates for the project have been developed. The feasibility study of the project has passed the State Expertise.
“In November of this year, near the Industrial Zone of Almaty, on an area of 17 hectares, it is planned to start construction of a distribution center LLP“ National Trade and Distribution Network ”. Commissioning is expected in early 2023. A private investor implements a project within the framework of a public-private partnership. This wholesale distribution center project is an integral part of the project to create a National Distribution System, consisting of 24 wholesale distribution centers throughout the country, ”D. Tazabek said.
The amount of investments within the project is 35 billion tenge. This is expected to be a key factor in the growth of fruit and vegetable production, including an increase in the volume of crops grown on irrigated land. At the same time, a new technology for the storage, trade and distribution of food will be built. Wholesale distribution centers will offer specialized services ranging from storage and processing to product distribution and marketing.
