Almaty hosts Kitap Fest book festival
Akim of the metropolis Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, having visited the book forum, noted the interest of children and adolescents in reading.
 
On his Instagram account, B. Sagintayev spoke about his visit to the book festival.
“I attended the VII annual Kitap Fest. I am glad that there are a lot of young people among those who are keen on books, ”the akim of Almaty wrote.
 
Within the framework of the festival, there is a large fair from bookstores and publishing houses, presentations of books from Kazakhstani authors in the "Writer's Tent", an exchange of opinions and books, an exhibition of archival photographs. The guests of the festival received 5 thousand books for free.
 
Given the sanitary and epidemiological situation, the festival is attended by citizens with a "green" status in the ASHYQ application, wearing masks is mandatory.
