How large families and families in need are provided with housing in Almaty
On Almaty City Day, 227 large families moved into the new apartments of the Alma City-5 residential complex built under the Nurly Zher housing program.

Deputy Head of the Department of Housing Policy of the city, Yermek Amirov, spoke about measures to provide affordable housing during a briefing of the Regional Communications Service. You can get affordable housing with the help of the Bakytty otbasy program, which is implemented through Otbasy Bank.

“Thanks to this program, large and single-parent families, as well as families raising children with disabilities, can get primary or secondary housing on the market on favorable terms. 634 Almaty families have used the program in 3 years, ”E. Amirov said.

A great help for those on the waiting list in the category of socially vulnerable segments of the population is the opportunity to obtain irrevocable housing certificates. This amount is calculated to cover part of the initial payment for obtaining a preferential mortgage from Otbasy Bank.

Certificates can be obtained for persons on the waiting list with disabilities of I and II groups, families with or raising children with disabilities, orphans, children left without parental care, and large families. The Akimat of Almaty allocated 2 billion tenge from the local budget for the issuance of 2,000 irrevocable housing certificates in the amount of 1 million tenge.

Working youth can participate in the city program "Almaty Zhastary", thanks to which 1000 young families have already been provided with housing.

“This year we also plan to reach 1000 more young families. Currently, 772 of them have received apartments, ”added E. Amirov.

Along with this, it is planned to provide 1050 working young people with rental housing for a period of 5 years. In conclusion, the deputy head of the Housing Policy Department said that the Akimat of Almaty would increase the pace of providing housing for citizens.

In addition, the Day of the city of Almaty has become doubly significant for the mother of many children, Korlan Kadyrkulova, who has been in line for housing for five years.

Previously, the family lived in a rented apartment, and now they will live in a spacious three-room apartment received under the rental housing program from the state. The same list includes the family of the two-millionty resident of the megapolis Ayala Zhambyl, who lived in her parents' house.
