On his Instagram account, akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev spoke about the reconstruction of squares, the construction of hotels and the creation of comfortable conditions for mountain tourism.
 
“We are completing the renovation of squares at the GATOB named after Abay, including the Nedelka fountain. The main prospect was the preservation and restoration of the historical architectural ensemble. For this, lanterns, fountain arches and "lampshades" were restored. Everything as it was captured in old photographs. The once destroyed fountains in the entrance lobbies have been restored. I am sure that the townspeople will appreciate the transformed space - it will take you to the atmosphere of the city of the 60s-70s, ”B. Sagintayev emphasized.
 
The reconstruction of the square near the First President's Fund, built in 2005, is underway. Since then, there has been no renovation here. 80 benches, trash cans and a sanitary and hygienic unit will be installed, the lack of which the townspeople complained about. The creation of children's playgrounds and sports grounds is envisaged. 4 km of cable has been laid for outdoor lighting, 147 lamps will be installed. For the automatic irrigation system, 5 km of the pipeline was replaced, 2 tanks were built.
 
“The new cozy place will be the square in front of the State Museum of Arts A. Kasteeva, where the renewal of the green fund, the road surface, benches, lighting is also being completed, and we will restore the fountain, ”the city akim wrote.
 
The bridge space on the river will also be transformed. B. Almatinka - Al-Farabi avenue, where a place for street food and street cinema will be organized. An artificial waterfall and an observation deck are installed on the river. Thanks to the ramps, the place will be accessible for people with limited mobility.
 
B. Sagintayev examined the progress of modernization of the sports infrastructure of school №128. In addition to modern outdoor sports grounds, indoor football fields are being built here, which are available all year round.
 
The akim of Almaty examined the new hotel Holiday Inn Express and the infrastructure of the Ayusai visit center, where comfortable conditions are created for vacationers and tourists.
