In Almaty, it is necessary to increase the rate of vaccination, as the situation may worsen

Nariman Tabynbayev, Head of the city's public Health Department, announced this. Speaking at the site of the Regional Communications Service, he warned that the fourth wave of coronavirus infection is not over yet.

An improvement in the epidemic situation does not mean that the fourth wave of coronavirus is over, N. Tabynbaev said. Therefore, he urges Almaty residents to be more actively vaccinated.

“To date, 899 784 people have received the first component of the vaccine, and 779 870 citizens have received the second component,” N. Tabynbaev said.

According to the Head of the Public Health Department of Almaty, this is not enough, since the collective immunity has not yet been formed. N. Tabynbaev recalled that hospitals are returning to normal operation, but the situation with the coronavirus may worsen again.

“This can happen if we do not comply with anti-epidemiological measures. Especially now, when schoolchildren and students have switched to offline education, ”N. Tabynbayev said.
