What measures have been taken in Almaty to improve the quality of education
Gulnara Ermekbaeva, Head of the Department for Quality Assurance in Education of Almaty, spoke about this at the site of the Regional Communications Service. She also said what kind of preventive control of educational facilities is carried out in their department.
According to G. Ermekbaeva, for two months in June and July 2021, monitoring of secondary education organizations in the city of Almaty was carried out in Almaty. The inspections covered 207 public schools.
The speaker recalled that in the new academic year, schoolchildren will be trained in a traditional format, in compliance with sanitary requirements. Pupils are asked to observe the classic style of dress.
G. Ermekbaeva noted that large-scale work was carried out in Almaty to organize sanitary and epidemiological requirements for educational institutions. In particular, the Ashyq system is installed everywhere, which will be used by employees of organizations, as well as thermometry devices.
“During the two-month monitoring, we checked not only the readiness of schools for the new academic year, but also saw how they are provided with material and technical equipment, whether current or major repairs have been carried out, whether there are video cameras,” says the head of the Education Quality Assurance Department.
G. Ermekbaeva said that this year current, repairs were carried out in all educational organizations in accordance with the approved plan, major repairs were carried out in 5 schools and one college. The repair work has not been completed on time at gymnasium school No. 54 and secondary school No. 7.
Much work has been done to provide schools with textbooks, assign qualification categories, conduct competitive procedures for vacant positions and comply with the rules for appointing heads of educational organizations.
G. Ermekbaeva said that from September 2021, state certification is being introduced in preschool organizations, schools, colleges and military, special higher educational institutions of the country.
“State certification will be carried out in the form of preventive control in order to monitor compliance with the requirements of the state compulsory educational standard and provide methodological assistance to educational organizations. The state attestation provides for the control of students' knowledge, questionnaires of parents, self-assessment of educational organizations, ”says the head of the Department.
It is assumed, that within 5 years, all kindergartens, schools, colleges will undergo state certification. This trend will improve the quality of educational services and stimulate organizations to further growth.
