More affordable housing is being built in Almaty
Sapar Nurashev, head of the Department of Comfortable Urban Environment, spoke about the pace of construction of new housing in Almaty, during a press conference of the Regional Communications Service. According to him, as a result of the Nurly Zher program, hundreds of families in the city will fulfill their dream of having their own housing this year.
The Head of the department noted that two kindergartens, for 120 places each, were built in the Tausamaly and Akzhar microdistricts of the Nauryzbay district. Also, seismic amplification and major overhaul of the House of Social Services (85 Dostyk ave.), The Center for the Social Adaptation of Children, day nurseries №23, 71, 186, school №81 and polyclinic №6 were carried out.
S. Nurashev emphasized that the Nurly Zher program is aimed at developing new approaches to increasing the affordability of housing for the general population. In 2021, 40 billion tenge was allocated for its implementation.
This year, large-scale construction of affordable housing has continued. Within the framework of the state program for the city of Almaty this year, a plan for the commissioning of affordable housing with a total area of 248.5 thousand square meters was approved, or 3,937 apartments, of which 1,889 apartments on the line "rent without the right to purchase housing" and 2,048 apartments on the line "credit housing for bank depositors and those on the waiting list of local executive bodies."
“In the first half of the year, construction of 38 houses in the residential complex“ Alma City-5 ”of the Nauryzbay district was completed in Almaty. These are 1,110 apartments, or 239.29 thousand square meters, and four houses in the Madeniet microdistrict of the Alatau district, these are 144 apartments, or 12.66 thousand square meters," - said S. Nurashev.
In other words, according to the results of the first half of the year, 44 houses with 1,254 apartments, or 82.37 thousand square meters of housing, were commissioned.
In addition, in the Turksib district, at the end of last year, the development of the Zhas Kanat-2 microdistrict began, the detailed planning project provides for the construction of 41 nine-story houses, of which construction work has begun on 35 houses. In addition, a school for 1,500 students will be built here. A competition has been announced for the remaining six houses. Their construction will begin this year, the completion date is 2022.
The head of the Office for a Comfortable Urban Environment added that the completion of the construction of these residential complexes will provide housing for the population within the framework of a number of state programs. All 1,254 apartments will be sold under credit housing.
At the same time, this year, the construction of a residential complex in the Zhas Kanat microdistrict has begun in the Turksib district. It is planned to build 35 nine-storey residential buildings, or 2,705 apartments. The total area of apartments will be 163.1 thousand square meters.
“With the construction of the residential sector, a comprehensive development of social facilities for education and health care is underway. Developers, on their own plots, include schools, kindergartens and medical institutions. Subsequently, these objects will be transferred to the municipal property of the city, the appropriate mechanism is being worked out, ”says S. Nurashev.
