New school sports grounds are actively being built in Almaty
New modern school stadiums and playgrounds will appear throughout Almaty. Currently, more than 40 city school sites are undergoing reconstruction. This was announced by the Head of the Education Department of the city Lyazzat Zhylkybaeva during a briefing by the Regional Communications Service.
This year, by the state order of the Akimat of the city of Almaty, sports sections for students will be organized in the schools of the city. It is worth noting, that physical education teachers who will be engaged in coaching will receive a salary increase.
According to L. Zhylkybayeva, today, sports and a healthy lifestyle are one of the main directions of the Department's work.
“We want to make high-level sites - sporty and safe,” said the head of the Department of Education.
L. Zhylkybayeva emphasized that the Almaty Department of Education, within the framework of the public-private partnership project, is currently reconstructing 8 sports grounds of schools No. 10, 42, 63, 93, 94, 104, 128, 173, 181, 189 and a multidisciplinary college.
“The amount of investments is over 400 million tenge. Earlier, within the framework of these projects, sports grounds on the territory of schools No. 40 and 95 were modernized, ”said the head of the Department of Education.
According to L. Zhylkybaeva, the new sports grounds will become a place of attraction for schoolchildren. Therefore, in addition, at the expense of the local budget, in 2021, 33 school sports grounds are being modernized at schools No. 151, 185, 179, 169, 184, 149, 82, 180, 182, 133, 130, 16, 67, 144, 34, 90, 38, 60, 69, 102, 66, 29, 28, 98, 186, 192, 187, 32, 71, 89, 106, 83 and in the Schoolchildren's House No. 1. More than 1 billion tenge is provided for these measures from the local budget.
