B. Sagintayev checked the readiness of schools for the new academic year
During a working detour B. Sagintayev checked the renovated schools, where seismic strengthening and the construction of new buildings are nearing completion. The akim of the city also instructed to ensure the sanitary safety of educational institutions.

Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the progress of seismic strengthening of the building of the Kazakh-Russian specialized school-lyceum №54 named after I. V. Panfilova. During a major renovation, the historic facade of the building, built in 1938, was restored, and the outdoor sports ground was modernized. B. Sagintayev instructed to speed up the completion of work and ensure the timely commissioning of the school.

At school-gymnasium №60 in the microdistrict Orbita-1, a new building for 600 seats with a gym has been built. This made it possible to remove the problem of the shortage of student places in this school. In addition, a modernized sports ground has been built on the school grounds. Thus, given the existing gymnasium, the renovated school now has two gyms and an outdoor sports ground.

Moreover, all 207 secondary schools in Almaty are 100% provided with sports halls. Also, this year 1 billion tenge has been allocated for the modernization of 33 school stadiums. In the secondary education system, there are 3,721 sports sections with coverage of 110 thousand children.

At the same time, within the framework of the public-private partnership project, 8 sports grounds of educational institutions are being reconstructed. Earlier, within the framework of PPP projects, sports grounds on the territory of two schools were modernized.

Akim of the city B. Sagintayev instructed to ensure the sanitary safety of schools in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection among students. All employees of state educational organizations are 100% vaccinated, except for those with medical treatment for health reasons.

In order to switch to the traditional format of education, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in schools, kindergartens, boarding schools. All organizations are equipped with detergents and disinfectants, as well as antiseptics.

Lessons will be organized in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements, including thermometry, visual inspection, airing, quartzing. Student streams will be split for primary, secondary and senior children.

B. Sagintayev also got acquainted with the projects of reconstruction of the building on 127 Kunaev street,  under the center of early intervention. Children from birth to one year old with congenital and hereditary diseases will be monitored and undergo rehabilitation here. The main goal of the project is to reduce childhood morbidity and disability in children.

The akim of the city also examined the building on 122 Kunaev street. Previously, the city administration of social welfare was located here, which moved to the House of Social Services. The premises are now being converted into a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities over 18 and a support center for children with autism. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
