The head of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the city, Zhandarbek Bekshin, spoke about the measures taken in Almaty to provide schoolchildren with a safe opportunity to study offline.
“We are focused on fulfilling the instructions of the Head of State that our students should study in offline conditions. To do this, we must provide them with a safe environment. And we are working on this, ”said the head of DSEC Almaty.
Zh. Bekshin said that, firstly, the Ashyq project is being implemented in all schools of the metropolis. This is done in order to prevent those who are infected or in contact with patients with COVID from entering educational institutions. Today, according to the territorial Chamber of Atameken, 100% of schools and kindergartens have received QR codes and are ready to work on Ashyq from September 1.
“The second line of defense is the introduction of recirculators in places where students congregate - in cafeterias, bathrooms. We are considering this issue with the school administration and will discuss it with parental committees. The third line - in classrooms, you can install disinfectants that will disinfect the air. This is an innovative Japanese design. The devices were delivered to Kazakhstan. The disinfectant is certified, tested and registered by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee of the Ministry of Health. If this program is approved, we will implement it, ”said the chief sanitary doctor of Almaty.
He especially emphasized that the priority of the department's work is to ensure the safe education of the city's students.
“We prepare carefully for our children to study in a safe environment. And we must provide them with offline training this year. For a year now, children have been studying remotely, and this, of course, affects the quality of education, ”added Zh. Bekshin.
As for the students, the head of the DSEC of Almaty said that the teachers will be vaccinated at a high level in the universities and colleges of the city. The question is also raised about the introduction of the Ashyq system in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. Zh. Bekshin noted that explanatory work on vaccination is being carried out among students.
“Students are tired of studying online too. But in order to completely secure them, it is necessary to fulfill all the requirements and create conditions for safe education not only in schools, but also in colleges and universities of the city, ”said the chief sanitary doctor of Almaty.
