Collective prayers will not be held in mosques of Almaty on Kurban Ait

As the number of COVID cases continues to grow in Almaty, the celebration of Eid al-Adha in 2021 will take place online. There will be no festive collective prayer, the imams recommend holding prayers at home.

Naib imam of the "Baiken" mosque, Nurbolat Duisebayev, said that this decision was influenced by an unfavorable epidemiological situation. The service of sacrifice on Eid al-Adha can be ordered online.

“On the website qurban2021.kz you can order a sacrifice service. Here you need to select a region, for example, the city of Almaty, fill in the column on whose behalf the service will be performed, indicate your phone number, where the report will then be sent. The sacrifice will be made on behalf of the customer with the words of a prayer, ”Nurbolat Dysebayev said.

The prices for animals for sacrifice are set at the maximum in Kazakhstan: it is allowed to sell small livestock for no more than 70 thousand tenge, and cattle up to 420 thousand.

The Naib Imam of the Baiken Mosque explained why this year Eid al-Adha is being held online.

“Now many people are sick with coronavirus, many are hospitalized. That is why there is a ban on collective events and sanitary and epidemiological restrictions. It is better to spend these holidays with your family, you need to treat the accepted requirements with understanding, "Nurbolat Dysebaev recommends.
