B. Sagintayev: The construction and repair of roads in the outskirts of Almaty are under special control
Answering citizens' questions during the live broadcast of the Akimat LIVE program on the TV Channel "Almaty", the akim of the metropolis, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, recalled that more than 100 km of new roads are planned to be built this year.
In addition, the road surface on 225 streets, with a length of 227.5 km, for medium repairs are planned to be conducted. Currently, work is underway on 66 streets. Including 12 main lines, 54 local ones.
As you know, the territory of the city has been repeatedly increased due to the annexation of the settlements of the Almaty region, which remained for many years without engineering and social infrastructure. All forces have been thrown into the construction of roads, water supply and sewerage networks, kindergartens, schools and clinics, B. Sagintayev emphasized. This issue is under constant control of the akim of Almaty.
In 2021, new roads in eight micro-districts of the Alatau, Turksib and Nauryzbay regions are planned to be built. These are microdistricts Uzhet, Shanyrak-5, Samgau, Nurshashkan, Kuramys, Almerek, Kairat, Algabas. New roads with a length of 108 km will be built in these microdistricts on 415 streets.
At the same time, major repairs of roads in microdistrict Duman on 53 streets, with a length of 30.5 km, are underway. Of these, work was completed on 11 streets with a length of 5.6 km. Completion of the remaining 42 streets is planned by September of this year.
