B. Sagintayev got acquainted with the progress of construction of large transport interchanges and the development of main streets
Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, during a working detour, inspected the pace of construction of three interchanges, metro infrastructure and developing Abai Avenue to the city border.
The akim of the metropolis visited the interchange at the "eastern gate" of Almaty, at the intersection of st. Bukhtarminskaya with the Kuldzhinsky tract. The length of the overpass along the Kuldzhinsky tract is 784 m, the tunnel along the Bukhtarminskaya street - 570 m. Certain directions are planned to be opened for traffic by the end of the year. Full commissioning of the facility is planned for next year, which will increase the throughput on Bukhtarminskaya street by 30%, along the Kuldzhinsky tract - by 15%.
B. Sagintayev got acquainted with the progress of work on the tunnel type junction at the intersection of Seifullin Avenue and Zhansugurov st. The project provides for the construction of two tunnels with a total length of 690 meters, for the unimpeded movement of transport along Seifullin Avenue. Passage of vehicles on Zhansugurov street, as well as the congresses will be held at ground level. The construction of four overground pedestrian crossings, the arrangement of sidewalks, gardening and landscaping are envisaged.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
The akim of the city also checked the pace of construction of a transport interchange at the intersection of Ryskulov Avenue and Emtsov street. The length of the overpass is 186 m. On Ryskulov avenue, 8 lanes are provided, and on Emtsov street - 4 lanes.
In addition, B. Sagintayev got acquainted with the construction progress of the second start-up complex of the second stage of the first line of the metro stations "Saryarka" and "Dostyk", where finishing works are underway. The technical launch of the two stations is scheduled for the end of the year.
Also, the akim of Almaty was reported on the progress of work on the construction of the third start-up complex, of the second stage, of the first line of the metro station "Kalkaman". The project provides for the construction of a running tunnel 2.48 km long, from the Dostyk station to the Kalkaman station, which will be built under Ashimova street.
During the detour, the akim of Almaty inspected the progress of connecting Abai Avenue, Momyshuly to Auezov street in md. Kalkaman, and to the city border. The total length is 4.8 km. A plot with a length of 3 km, from Yassaui st. to Bereke st. in md. Shugyla. The project provides for the construction of a 6-lane road, sidewalks, cycle paths. With the timely redemption of the plots located in the construction zone, it is planned to complete the work by the end of this year. Thus, Abai Avenue will be extended from Momyshuly st. to the administrative center of the Nauryzbay region.
B. Sagintayev instructed to mobilize labor force and equipment, as well as to control the quality and timeliness of work on all construction sites of interchanges and connecting streets. In addition, the heads of the relevant departments need to quickly resolve issues that arise during the implementation of projects.
