Sportsmen of Almaty: "Vaccination will help get rid of the silence of big sports"

Due to the coronavirus pandemic in Kazakhstan and around the world, mass sports competitions have been canceled and postponed. However, in some cases, events are still held, but without spectators. Sportsmen of Almaty made an appeal to the population to be vaccinated in order to freely attend tournaments and championships again.

Good old hockey cannot be imagined without passionate fans, shouts of support, and noisy stands. However, the coronavirus pandemic has deprived players of their usual drive and ruined plans for sports victories.

The goalkeeper of the hockey club "Almaty" Nikita Bazhenov says that they still cannot get used to the empty stands, to the lack of fans who urge them on and motivate them to win.

“There are no fans, for whom we do all of this. Without them, the games are very boring. This is a certain incentive for us. I remember when all the training rooms, where we spent most of the day, closed last year; we continued to train in the parks until they closed. Without sports, it was hard to keep in shape. Then they were allowed to hold trainings and competitions, but without fans. It's not easy on the ice without them. Therefore, as soon as the start of mass vaccination was announced, I got myself together and got vaccinated in order to return to my old life, ”Nikita Bazhenov said.

The coach of the goalkeepers of the hockey club "Almaty" Valery Sviridov agrees with him. He is sure that fan support is one of the factors in the victory of athletes.

“In the fight against the coronavirus, everyone needs to take the initiative and get a vaccine. My wife and I did it while in Ust-Kamenogorsk. I think our population should unite in this matter, look at the examples of those countries where, on the contrary, there are no vaccines, and they would really like to protect themselves from a dangerous infection. In our country, there is every opportunity to protect oneself from a serious illness and continue to enjoy life, ”says Valery Sviridov.

Another Almaty athlete, international master of sports in taekwando, bronze medalist of the Asian Games, Fariza Aldogarova, said that the coronavirus pandemic interfered with her training camp and training process. However, the advent of the vaccine gives all athletes in the world a chance to participate in the Olympic Games. To do this, you need to obtain a license. In order to go to the competition, Fariza got vaccinated from the coronavirus, and tolerated the vaccine quite normally.

“I feel good, trainings are on schedule. I did this in order to return to the gym again, to participate in championships, to protect my surroundings and relatives. I am more worried about others so that they do not get sick with the coronavirus, ”Fariza Aldogarova shared her thoughts.

The personal decision on vaccination was made by Rizat Makhashev, master of sports in ju-jitsu, prize-winner of the Asian Games. There were losses in the family of the eminent fighter, relatives could not overcome the disease, friends were ill around him.

“The disease took over, it was not easy to lose loved ones. Then, there was no vaccine, and I waited, like others, for it to appear. As soon as scientists invented it and there was an opportunity to protect myself and loved ones, I received both components of the vaccine, ”says Rizat Makhashev.

The master of sports is grateful to the government for providing Kazakhstanis with a free vaccine. He admits that as soon as he was vaccinated, he began to feel calmer, he can attend trainings and public places without fear that he will bring the virus into the house.

In conclusion, Rizat Makhashev emphasized that in his sport, one cannot lose shape due to illness. And most people do not need to experience the serious complications of the coronavirus at all. Therefore, the only way out is vaccination.
