B. Sagintayev: A single space is being created for the IT community of Almaty

Akim of the city Bakhytzhan Sagintayev during the next live broadcast on the TV Channel "Almaty" announced the creation of a single communication space.

As part of the implementation of the strategic task for the development of the innovation ecosystem, work has been completed to build a common communication space (CCS) for representatives of the city's IT community. CCS brings together all educational institutions, technology parks, accelerators, incubators and IT companies on one platform. Currently, more than 15 IT companies and about 500 representatives of the IT community are registered on the platform.

In addition, on the portal of the Digitalization Department there is an opportunity to post ideas for the optimization and digitalization of Almaty. Any citizen can draw the attention of the city administration to his project.

The telecommunications infrastructure has been actively developed. Earlier this year, all telecom operators in the city built no more than 55-60 base stations. Over the past 12 months, more than 200 blind spots on access to mobile communications have been closed.

Additionally, the city is implementing a new pilot project with the technology of fixed wireless access to the Internet, when a resident has the opportunity to receive a stable signal of 96 Mbit / s in new neighborhoods of the city.

The project covers microdistrict Almerek (600 buildings, 420 subscribers), md. Algabas (1500 buildings, 1050 subscribers), md. Nurshashkan (400 buildings, 280 subscribers), md. Tausamaly (1000 buildings, 700 subscribers).

This year, fiber-optic communication lines will be laid in the micro-districts of Nurshashkan and Tastybulak, which will make it possible to connect to high-quality Internet. Next year, private investors will conduct fiber-optic communication lines in the remaining micro-districts of the Alatau and Naryzbay districts.
