Deputy Head of the Education Department of the city Kairat Zhumanov spoke about how the shortage of student places is being solved in Almaty, during an online briefing of the Regional Communications Service. He said that by the end of the year 8 new public schools with 12,600 places will be built in the southern capital. Moreover, 5 of them will be built in the Alatau region.
 
 
The representative of the city Department of Education, Kairat Zhumanov, gave examples when, as a result of the absence of schools, students had to travel to other educational institutions. This took place in the "Darkhan" microdistrict. Thanks to the efforts of local authorities, this problem will be solved through the construction of a school for 1,500 children. A similar situation was observed in the Tomiris microdistrict. Now a new school for 1,500 students is being built here.
 
K. Zhumanov said that in the "Rakhat-Madeniet" microdistrict, there was a three-shift studies at school # 196. The student body here has exceeded its design capacity. This issue will be resolved thanks to the construction of another school for 1,500 children. A state kindergarten will be built on the territory of the same school in the future. In addition, one more school for 1500 places will appear in the Kairat microdistrict of the Turksib district.
 
While discussing the construction of new schools, the speaker emphasized that the experience of foreign countries is taken into account when developing projects.
 
“The new schools are unique in their own way, everything is structured in them, there are blocks for primary, middle and senior classes. They will look new both outside and inside. Modern environmentally friendly materials are used in the construction, ”said K. Zhumanov.
 
School buildings will consist of separate educational blocks with common areas, from 1,500 to 1,800 children will be trained in one shift.
 
K. Zhumanov also spoke about the expansion of a number of overloaded schools through the construction of new buildings. Currently, 17 new buildings for schools are being built, due to which more than 8 thousand new places will be created.
