B. Sagintayev checked the progress of the construction of mudflow protection dams
During a working detour, the akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, got acquainted with the construction of mud-protection dams in the basins of the Aksai and Ulken Almaty rivers below the mouth of the Ayusai river.
“Residents are worried about the state of the main street Dosmukhamedov, where the networks have already been laid. There are 40 houses left here, the owners of which need to quickly connect to the networks in order to start rebuilding the road surface. The contractor is already carrying out preparatory work, ”the city akim wrote in his Instagram account.
The basins of the Ulken Almaty and Aksai rivers are extremely mudflow hazardous. In the upper reaches of these rivers there are 114 glaciers and 35 moraine lakes. In the event of a breakthrough, more than 5 thousand objects and over 40 thousand people will be found in the zone of the destructive impact of mudflows.
The construction of dams will ensure the protection of the population and facilities of the Nauryzbay, Auezov and Alatau districts of Almaty, located in the mudflow hazardous zone. The construction completion date is 2023.
B. Sagintayev checked the progress of the construction of engineering networks of water supply and sewerage, as well as the restoration of roads in the microdistrict Tauzholy.
