How observance of quarantine measures is monitored at Medeu and Shymbulak was reported in Almaty
During a briefing at the site of the regional communications service, akim of the Medeu district of Almaty, Asset Masabayev, said that the Medeu highland complex and the Shymbulak ski resort, along with the shopping and entertainment center, markets and restaurants, are among the places with a high risk of coronavirus infection.

“The number of people in the Shymbulak Ski Resort is limited from 2850 to 2000 people, in the Medeu Complex - from 750 to 500 people. The monitoring group on weekends in the daytime is working to identify violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements in the Alpine Sports Complex "Medeu" and Ski Resort "Shymbulak". Also, every Monday until 13.00 - sanitary time for disinfection procedures (facilities stop working), ”Asset Massabayev said.
Along with this, the staff of the Tourism Department organized a shift in the "Gorelnik" with a visit of no more than 3 people at the same time. Together with the Local Police Service of the City Police Department, a watch was organized for vehicles entering the territory of the Apline Sports Complex "Medeu".
Since the beginning of the year, 92 protocols have been drawn up within the framework of the monitoring groups of the Medeu district, of which 37 for legal entities in the amount of 12.4 million tenge, 55 for individuals in the amount of 2.4 million tenge.
Earlier, the Shymbulak resort was recommended a number of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to control sanitary requirements. At the moment, monitoring groups are checking compliance with the following rules: observance of the mask regime at all facilities of the resort, the temperature of visitors will be measured before visiting and should not exceed 37C, compliance with a distance of 2 m between visitors at all facilities of the resort, boarding in the cabins of cable cars is reduced to 4 people (families are allowed to board more than 4 people).
Specifically for the ice season 2020-21. At the Alpine Sports Complex "Medeu", a special algorithm for the operation of the skating rink in the context of the coronavirus pandemic was developed. An enhanced disinfection regime has been introduced throughout the stadium.
In addition to traditional security measures, such as maintaining social distance and masking, installing disinfection tunnels and sanitizers, and other things, the administration has developed special measures. In order to prevent crowds of people in queues, ticket offices at the skating rink are closed this season, entrance tickets can only be purchased through the website. Issuance and acceptance of rental skates this season do not overlap.
