A monument to doctors who fought against COVID is to be opened in Almaty
Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev took part in the installation of the stone, in the place of which the monument will be opened.
The chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan U. Esdaulet, the chairman of the Council of Public Accord of the Almaty Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan A. Shardinov, poet A. Elgezek, Doctor of the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 J. Sheriyazdan spoke in support of the installation of the monument.
On his Instagram account, B. Sagintayev noted that the monument would become a symbol of gratitude to medical workers.
“Today, together with representatives of the medical and literary community of Almaty, they set a stone at the base of the monument to doctors. The monument will become a tribute to the memory and a sign of gratitude to all health workers who fought against the COVID pandemic. A pine alley has also been planted in their honor, "- wrote the akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev.
The monument will be opened in an alley near KazNMU named after S. D. Asfendiyarov. 20 pine seedlings were planted here.
