The governor of Almaty city visited to a new center of public transport driver’s qualification

The new center is supplied by the modern classrooms for general classes . T here are the computer classes for passing exams, the parlors with simulators, a room for psychoanalysis and driver ethics . The specialists are trained to give first aid. According to the information given by Rosa Badaeva , the director of the Center of Transport Specialist ’ s Qualification,16 specialists are having the training courses for D, D1 category of drivers .

Today contracts have also been made with the main urban carriers.

According to Aigul Akhmetova, head of the Employment and Social Programs Management , there is a great demand for trainin g from both active drivers and applicants. Under the program o f population employment, it is planned to train 300 people. 15 trolleybus drivers and 15 bus drivers are n ow having t he courses .

During the visit to the q ualification c enter , the Almaty city’s governor drew the attention of car park managers to the ne cessity of uprising the service quality in the field of public transport.

"Owners of private car parks are reluctant to update their stock, they ’d like to shift all the problems to the state. When were the good prices for gasoline there? W hen were the good prices for diesel while doing business all the time ? They ’ve made money in this sphere but invested it to other industry , so we will not bankroll the money of the citizen to an opaque sphere , "B. Baibek said.

It should be mention ed that this summer will continue the urban transport reform (new separated lanes, convenient road markings, unilateral streets, etc.) In addition, the car park of the city will be supplement ed with 60 units of mountain buses and will be bought 40 evacuators.
