Kazakhstan’s XVII International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" has been opened in Almaty

The governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, the deputy head of the State Administration for Tourism of the People's Republic of China Du Jiang, the heads of exhibition companies, representatives of the diplomatic corps, etc. took part in the opening ceremony.

In his welcome speech the Almaty’s governor noted that the metropolis had intensively developing service and tourist infrastructure, the city was visited by every second tourist who came to the country.

"Today, Kazakhstan strives to take its place in the tourism market, thanks to the policy of the Head of State, all conditions are created for it. This year Almaty has hosted the World Winter Universiade. An international exhibition EXPO-2017, which will be held this summer in Astana, opens its doors.

At KITF-2017, this year more than 500 participants came to us from 30 countries of the world, who also pay great attention to the development of tourism, "B. Baibek said.

The exhibitors of the exhibition are national and regional tourist agencies, Kazakhstan and foreign tour operators, resort hotels and accommodation facilities, airlines and Internet booking systems from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Dominican Republic, India, Indonesia, Spain, China, South Korea, Cuba, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Tatarstan, Thailand, Turkey, the Czech Republic, etc. In addition, the tourist potential of the Almaty metro has been presented at KITF-2017.

Every year, the KITF exhibition promotes the image of the city of Almaty - as an object of the business tourism, and all of Kazakhstan - as a country with great tourist potential. Participants of the domestic market are provided with a platform for launching, developing and promoting an internal product using international experience.
