The main priority in the construction of buildings in Almaty should be the quality and the seismic resistance - B.Baibek

According to the general director of KAZNIISA Nurlan Uranhaev, today the institute is the leader in issues of earthquake-proof construction, development of special technical conditions for the design of high-rise buildings located on the places with seismicity of 9 or more points.

Today, specialists of the Institute are working for the research and the rating of existing building’s seismic resistance followed by the recommendation’s design and the projects to strengthen buildings. At the same time, they use the best design practices in their work, incl. 3D modeling by using BIM-technology and Eurocode.

"It was convinced by own experience that the usage of BIM-technologies significantly rises the quality of the project due to the choice of more optimal project solutions. The cancellation of errors at the design stage makes it possible to make the draft of the future building more clear and plan the expenses more accurately. The peculiarity of this approach is that the building object is actually designed as a single unit. And changing one of its parameters causes an automatic change of other related parameters and objects, up to drawings, visualizations, specifications and calendar schedule, "Nurlan Urankhaev mentioned.

We remind you that two weeks ago during an official trip to Tokyo, the governor of Almaty also visited to the seismology research center of the company "Shimizu", which was one of the five leading architectural construction companies of Japan.

Specialists of the rising sun country have developed an earthquake simulator that can simulate the most powerful earthquakes fixed in the history of seismology. The description and results of each such test are investigated by the own scientific center with the recommendation’s output for the designers.

As a result of the trip, Bauyrzhan Baibek ordered to study the Japanese experience and consider the possibility of implementation laboratories with similar simulators in Almaty.
