About 21 thousand student places will be created in Almaty
At the reporting meeting of Almaty Akim Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, data on the development of the social infrastructure of the metropolis was announced.
The House of Social Services will open, which will provide 42 types of state and seven non-state services on the principle of "one window". A tennis center with 14 courts will be put into operation and 6 sports and recreation complexes will be built.
The stage-by-stage implementation of the program for the accelerated construction of educational facilities continues. In 2020, the construction of two public schools in the Auezov and Turksib districts, for 1800 places, five annexes to existing schools for 1817 places was completed, the construction of seventeen more annexes to schools for 8263 places continues.
Two private schools for 1390 places were put into operation. Since the beginning of 2020, three state kindergartens for 520 places have been built and put into operation, including a kindergarten for 150 places with the involvement of a private investor. As part of the implementation of the Employment Roadmap program, the construction of four more kindergartens for 640 places has begun.
A roadmap was adopted to create conditions for the mass enrollment of children in out-of-school education. 156 free clubs have been opened on the basis of city libraries. The number of creative circles for children has been increased to 5400. For the development of children and adolescents, social clubs "Shynga Orleu" have been established in five districts. The number of sports facilities has been increased by 745 facilities over the year and totals 3.4 thousand facilities, 252 free sections have been opened.
The development of social infrastructure will continue in 2021. Due to the construction of 8 schools, 17 new annex buildings, an additional 20,700 student places will be created. In addition, 640 preschool places will be created. To subsidize parental fees from the city budget, 1 billion tenge is planned to be allocated, which will create an additional 5 thousand places in kindergartens.
To provide medical services within walking distance, two family medical outpatient clinics will be built in the Zhetysu and Turksib districts. A new extension building of the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 will be put into operation, as well as a new building with an operating unit for the Children's Emergency Center.
