The governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek visited the exhibition of children’s art works from the correctional schools of the city. the work of pupils of school №4 for blind and visually impaired children named after N. Ostrovsky school № 9 for children with severe speech disorders, specialized complex "Zhanuya", school № 5 for children with hearing impairment, school № 5 1 for children with hearing impairment, etc.were presented in the Republic Palace.

Bauyrzhan Baibek highly appreciated the quality and skill of the presented works and acquired the collective work of the students of the Almaty Boarding School No. 7 for children with intellectual disabilities - the triptych "EXPO-2017 through the eyes of children". According to the teachers, the children prepared a triptych for about 3 months, as this is a very complicated technique of twisting threads, gluing felt, embroidering by an ancient Kazakh technique.

The head of the city stressed that within the framework of the Almaty 2020 development program for children’s support with special needs in 2016, 3 rooms for psychological and pedagogical correction and one psycho-medical and pedagogical consultation have been opened. Nowadays there are 11 such offices and consultations in the city. With the support of the Bolashak corporate fund and the public fund "Aşhyk Alem", the offices and the resource centers for the development of inclusive education have been opened.

In this year, 6 kinder gardens, 2 schools, additional buildings will be built by the expense of the budget for 6 educational facilities. Seismic work will be carried out in 28 educational facilities, 1 school will be reconstructed. Also in this year, 190 millions tenge were allocated by the local budget for the improvement of children and employment during the summer vacation period. Since June 1, the work of 771 camps has been organized for 100 thousand children.

Within the framework of the June 1 celebration, a large entertainment program has been organized for Almaty children. The Parade of Children's Youth Musical Orchestras and Ensembles has been opened, More than 5 thousand children took part in it.

In the early morning there were the leisure entertaining events with a concert of children's creative groups in the central park of culture. The event was attended by: the Senim group, the choreographic collectives Nargiz, Muldir, Neposedy, Tamasha, Surprise, Yerke Naz, students of the KazNII named after T. Zhurgenov. There was the gala concert of the winners of the International contest "Boztorgay - 2017" within the framework of the event. Today there has been a gala concert of the winners of the 12th Republican Festival for Children with Special Needs "Zhuldyzai", in the Republic Palace where 7 780 contestants were attended by. Prizewinners of the festival’s second selection round have performed with the famous star Marzhan Arapbaeva, the group "KeshYOU", "ElleBand", etc.

"The festival is a new stage in life for children, many of them find their own business in life, enter creative colleges, create joint teams. Special children are able to show that a strong person can achieve his goal and overcome various obstacles if he believes in himself.
