In his speech the Almaty’s governor Bauyrzhan Baibek noted that a real patriotism begins with the respect for state symbols. They personify a statehood and an independence, unite the multinational people of Kazakhstan, they are a source of national pride and great achievements.
"We Almaty citizens are proud that the approval of state symbols, the Constitution, the national currency was held in Almaty. These are the golden pages of the history of our native land and the whole country. State symbols are filled with a deep sacral meaning. They reflect the national spirit, history, culture and traditions, the unique identity of our country. They form their own national code, which, as the President said, makes any nation a nation. And, at the same time, state symbols are the spokesmen of those fundamental values and qualities that determine the essence of the spiritual modernization announced by the Head of State and which the Kazakhstan people should now orient themselves on. It is openness, readiness for change and improvement, aspiration for the future. To realize the historical goal of independent Kazakhstan is the entering to the community of advanced countries, becoming a strong, prosperous state, "B. Baibek said.

He also noted that no modernization is unthinkable without the younger generation. First of all, the youth of the country, which is to become the main conductor of the values of the XXI century - education, openness, creativity, pragmatism, affects the transformation of public consciousness. These are the fundamental factors of success, both the man and the whole nation.

"Creating the conditions for the development of the younger generation, the formation of a modern worldview in young people - this is our first priority. You know, on behalf of the Head of State, this year was declared the Year of Youth in Almaty. A roadmap for supporting young people until 2020 has been developed. Being committed to the principles of openness and accountability, in drafting this document we relied on the opinion of the youth itself. The road map was widely discussed among youth organizations, supported by the Public Council and approved by the Maslikhat, "the governor of the city added.

It should be noted that the Road Map reflects all issues of concern to today's youth, such as a qualitative education, housing and employment, effective "social elevators", support for youth initiatives.
The festive event continued with a concert program. Toregali Toreali, Kamshat Zholdybayeva, Ali Okapov, Turar Rahimberlin, Jeanne Orynbasarova, Ayree, Misterions, Keshyou and others performed for the youth of Almaty. It should be noted that the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan is held throughout the city.
