The governor of Almaty has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Dominican Republic

During the meeting it was mentioned that the first visit of the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic to Kazakhstan would promote the activation of the relationships between the two countries. In turn, M.Vargas expressed his confidence in the successful holding of the exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, where the Dominican Republic would be represented.

"Almaty is known as a regional financial center, a city of private capital, trade, and since our delegation includes bankers and industrialists, there is an opportunity to discuss the certain investment projects," he said.

The governor of Almaty has been invited on an official visit to the Dominican Republic by The Foreign Minister .He expressed the hope that Santo Domingo and Almaty would become the twin cities, which would allow to establish the close cultural ties, raise the familiarity of the cities and exchange the experience in the field of stable development, "Smart City", etc.

During the visit, the participants of the foreign delegation were represented by the potential of the industrial zone in the Alatau region, the FEZ Park of Innovative Technologies and theInvestors Service Center by operating on the principle of a single window.
