As reported by the head of the department of passenger transport of highways of Almaty Maksut Isakhov, currently 29 streets are renovated in the city, work is being done on 25 streets. Next month 114 streets and district streets with the length of 83.7 km will begin to be repaired.

The repair of 18 intersections with the dismantling of tram rails was started. Twenty brigades are repairing the asphalt concrete pavement planned 250 thousand square meters, 69 thousands m2 have already been completed.

At 47 sites with a total length of 18 km, work is under way on the arrangement and repair of sidewalks, 8.5 km have already been built. Also works on arrangement of 130 stopping complexes are conducted.

Works on major repairs are in progress on the Baytursynov st. from the street Timiryazev to Abay avenue, and it is being done on the Zhandosov from the street Sain to the village Tausamaly with a length of 2.08 km.

The construction of 10.9 km of roads is being done in md. Algabas and Akbulak Alatau region, and in md. Kalkaman and Altyn Alash in the Nauryzbaysky district with a length of 17.3 km.

This year in Almaty, 102 unregulated pedestrian crossings will be reconstructed with the organization of lighting at night.

Recall that the city continues to work systematically to create comfortable conditions for citizens, the improvement of parks and squares, the reconstruction of pedestrian areas, the organization of bicycle paths, the dismantling of fences that protect the public space, etc.

In the Almaly district will be fully landscaped sections of Duisenov street from Arensky street to Gaidar street, as well as Karasai batyr street from Ablai khan avenue to Masanchi street. In the Bostandyksky region, work will begin on the Timiryazev Str., From the Esentai River to Baitursynov Street, 2.5 km long.

In general, this year 16 pedestrian zones will be equipped in each district, and Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbai batyr streets and Astana square will be reconstructed with pedestrian priority.
