New bus routes launched in Almaty

New routes are developed on the basis of appeals from residents and district akimats. Until now, these directions were practically not serviced due to the lack of the necessary rolling stock.

From July 10 of this year, "Almatytelektrotrans" LLP will provide transport services along the routes: No. 26 (Taujoly-microdistrict - polyclinic No. 7 in the Kalkaman microdistrict), No. 40 (Working settlement-Makatayeva St.), No. 125 (Kokzhiek- Trading house "Armada"). From July 17, on routes No 14 (Mkr.Karagaily - market "Barys-3") and No. 15 (State Farm Alatau - market "Altyn Orda").

The municipal enterprise of LLP Almatytelektrotrans have also received 15 LIAZ buses. These 9.5 meter low-floor buses comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard, are equipped with air conditioning, special lifts for disabled wheelchair users. After passing through all the procedures for processing the documents, starting from August 1, they will leave on routes No 28 (Mkr.Orbita 2,4 - HPP2) and No. 68 (Prospect Al Farabi - Dachi Remizovka).

At the same time, in order to update the rolling stock on city routes, the Almaty city’s executive committee allocated 11.5 billion tenge to purchase 300 new modern buses by the end of the year.
