New schools, kindergartens and outpatient clinics, modernization of libraries - how social infrastructure is improving on the outskirts of Almaty
On behalf of the Akim of the city of Almaty, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, in accordance with the principle, a "City without outskirts", which provides for the massive construction of infrastructure, large-scale work is being carried out on the outskirts of the megapolis to improve the quality of life of the population.
The Akim of the Turksib region of Almaty, Bakhytzhan Akzharov spoke about what has already been done at a briefing, at the site of the regional communications service.
Today, 32 442 students study in 29 schools (27 public and 2 private) of the Turksib district. The shortage of student places is 1690 places. In this regard, to solve the problem, active work is underway to commission new facilities.
Opened in the area:
- state kindergarten No. 187 for 280 places;
- a new modern general education school No. 203 in the Nurshashkan microdistrict for 600 students;
- an extension to the secondary school №61 for 450 pupils on the street. L. Tolstoy, 20.
Current repairs were carried out under the "Roadmap of Kazakhstan-2020" program in 4 state kindergartens No. 117, 131, 149, 185 and seismic amplification with major renovations in kindergarten No. 86.
“By the end of 2021, constructions are planned to be completed: an extension to the secondary school No. 170 for 300 places on Magnitnyi St. 31; a kindergarten for 280 children in microdistrict Zhas Kanat; a private comprehensive school for 590 pupils at Seifullin Ave.50, a general education school for 1,500 students in the microdistrict. Kairat, ”B. Akzharov said.
In connection with the pandemic, all secondary education organizations in the 2020-2021 academic year switched to distance learning. For distance learning, 11,749 students from low-income families were given: 103 technical devices for free, 11,646 technical devices for temporary use.
A lot of work has been done in the district to provide more complete coverage of the population with quality medical services. There are 13 healthcare facilities in the region, including 7 city polyclinics and 6 hospitals. The number of the population attached is 247,156 people. The availability of medical equipment is 86%.
In order to ensure walking distance to healthcare facilities in 2020, the following are open:
- in microdistrict Mayak on Kapchagayskaya 46 St., a medical treatment center of the city polyclinic No. 32, for 20 visits per shift was opened;
- the additional building of maternity hospital No. 4 for 35 beds began to function;
- a medical outpatient clinic for 50 visits per shift was opened at the address: 13th military base, 54 B. The outpatient clinic opened 3 sections of general medical practice, pediatric and treatment rooms, an office with an ECG apparatus, a day hospital and a filter for receiving patients with high temperatures.
- a branch of the city infectious diseases hospital for 500 beds was put into operation on the street Degdar 10/2.
In addition, seismic amplification is underway with a major renovation of the Almaty city rehabilitation center for children with disabilities.
Along with this, measures are being taken to support the youth of the region. Last year, a Youth Resource Center was opened in the district for comprehensive support of young people, which provides legal and psychological assistance, deals with employment issues and volunteering. Particular attention is paid to socially vulnerable groups of the population, as well as to creative, student and sports youth.
Under the program of the modernization of the library system in 2019-2020, the renovation of libraries No. 1, 15, 26, 30 was carried out.
