The governor of Almaty inspected the course of reconstruction of the city

As part of the working trip, Bauyrzhan Baibek inspected the progress of repair work on Auezov st. from Timiryazev street to Gogol street, which is 3.6 km long. Repair work on this site is scheduled to be completed on August 12.

According to the information of the Road Administration, repair works are also being completed on Zheltoksan st. from Timiryazev Street to Tole bi str., 2.3 km long, and from Tole bi Street to Raiymbek Street, 2.081 km long.

The governor of Almaty also checked the quality of the repairs on Utepova street from Razybakiev street to Atakent (VDNKh). On the site, work was done to dismantle tram rails with a foundation device, asphalt concrete pavement was laid, a new bicycle zone was built. According to the management of passenger transport and roads in this section, road markings will be applied within ten days.

During the working tour the head of the city got acquainted with the ongoing work on the streets of Toraigyrov and Kablukov. Akim of Almaty noted that in the construction and reconstruction of road infrastructure special attention should be paid to the improvement of pedestrian zones.

It is worth noting that by the end of the year 102 unregulated pedestrian crossings will be reconstructed with the organization of lighting at night. Separate bands for buses and trolleybuses will be brought to 100 km. The number of paid parking spaces is planned to reach 10 thousand seats. The number of bicycles will be brought to 200 stations with 1700 bicycles.

At the same time, work is underway to pierce the streets of Furmanov, Abay, Khmelnytsky and the construction of several transport interchanges. Until the end of the year, it is planned to repair and equip about 500 Almaty courts. In addition, the reconstruction of a number of streets with priority for pedestrians continues: Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbai batyr, "Astana" square, where laying pavers, planting green plantations, installation of small architectural forms, sporting equipment, children's playgrounds, Facades of buildings, etc.
