Telemedicine Center of Almaty provides 24-hour assistance to patients with COVID
Akim of the city Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, during a working tour, visited a number of healthcare facilities, created to improve the quality and availability of medical care.
On his Instagram account, the Akim of the megapolis announced a visit to the Telemedicine Center, a family-medical outpatient clinic and a rehabilitation center opened under Public-Private Partnership.
“One of the most important decisions in the fight against COVID has been the creation of the Telemedicine Center. I visited a new unique structure. During the pandemic, remote assistance is provided to patients with COVID, ”wrote B. Sagintayev.
According to him, 52 specially trained physicians are analyzing the medical condition and advising patients undergoing outpatient treatment, around the clock, through audio or video communication. Today, 816 people are undergoing home treatment. Since November 1 of last year, remote monitoring has been carried out for 3.7 thousand citizens who were in home quarantine.
Also, the Akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev spoke about the creation of conditions for the provision of primary medical and social assistance to citizens within walking distance. This task is being solved by opening family-medical outpatient clinics in micro-districts where there are no polyclinics nearby.
So, a family outpatient center "Altai", was opened in the Turksib district, equipped with the most modern equipment, and serves 11 thousand people. Over the past two years, 16 such family outpatient clinics have been opened. In the coming year,4 more are planned to open.
